TN Veterans Resource Guide

Cooking with a Veteran Inc. is pleased to announce that they have put together a Veterans Resource Guide for Active Military, Veterans and their Families in TN. The prototype was presented to local legislators and is in the process of having the information verified. It should be out by early May for distribution.

Veterans BBQ Camp at Vet2Vet

Cooking with a Veteran Inc. once again joined with Veterans BBQ Camp to help feed veterans. This time at the Vet2Vet Dinner in Spring Hill. It was a great event that honored veterans and their contribution to the community.

Partnership with Heritage Steele

Recently Founder and Chef of Cooking with a Veteran Inc. traveled to Clarksville, TN to get a tour and meet owner of Heritage Steele. Cooking with a Veteran Inc. is proud to partner with them and share their great pans.

Guitars for VETS @VFW National Home

When Cooking with a Veteran Inc. heard that the VFW National Home was looking for Guitars for VETS program we stepped in and sent them a special Cooking with a Veteran Guitar for their program.

Hoops for Troops at MTSU

Cooking with a Veteran Inc. joined MTSU B.R.A.V.O. at their Hoops for Troops event honoring veterans and presented the SVA with a check to help a veteran in need.

Award presentation

Jesus and Christy Fuentes of Cooking with a Veteran Inc. Presented a certificate from the Governors office to Kittrell Elementary School for their holiday cards to veterans during our Holiday Grocery Shopping Card drive.

Kitchen Takeover @ Whiskey City Grill

Cooking with a Veteran Inc. Was glad to be able to partner with Whiskey City Grill a Veteran Owned Business in Shelbyville, TN for our first Kitchen Takeover. The event allowed us to raise 1000.00 to help feed veterans in Middle TN. The grocery Shopping Cards were donated to Rutherford County Veteran Service Office to help veterans in the area.

Cooking with a Veteran Inc. Veteran Grocery Shopping Card Program in Middle TN.

— Supporting veterans in Bedford County and surrounding areas in Middle TN thru the Veteran Service Officers of Bedford County and Alvin C. York VA Medical Center–

WHAT: Cooking with a Veteran Inc. 501c3 in Bedford County collected donations to present Bedford County Veteran Service Office and the Alvin C. York VA Medical Center with 50 x $100.00 Grocery Shopping Cards to be distributed to veterans in need in the Middle TN Area. 20 Cards were presented to Karah Cox and Benjamin Fley of Bedford County Veteran Services and another 30 to Thomas Gallagher and Adam Sykes of the Alvin C. York VA Medical Center in Murfreesboro. This is the main program through Cooking with a Veteran Inc. which aims to help veterans and their family’s put food on their tables. Since starting the program in June we have been able to help 120 veterans through Middle TN with Grocery Shopping Cards.

Also donated were gift bags presented by the Bedford County Senior Service Providers, presented by Amanda Lankford, Kala Hargrove, and Marissa Grinstead, which included toiletry items, blankets and small gifts. Also donated from Andrea Lovvorn of the New Covenant Christian Bookstore were books by Ret. Lt. Col. Herman C. Statum Vietnam Veteran books Ethos: Challenges of Right and Wrong, as well as Handmade Christmas cards from Co-Director Jesus Fuentes kids Landon and Jesus Fuentes III through their school Kittrell Elementary with special thanks to Mr. Anderson, Kittrell Rising Lady’s Society, Dr. Boyd, Mrs. Campbell.
